Romantic, private getaway
Ocean Sound offers two modern, beautifully furnished, apartments. Apt. No.1 has a queen bed. Apt. No.2 has a king bed. There are indoor seating areas in both apartments and each has a bathroom and small kitchen. The house is located on a hillside in an exclusive neighbourhood with stunning views over land and ocean. Large picture windows look directly onto a magnificent swimming pool with slide and diving board which is literally a few steps from your doorway.
The location is 15 minutes bus/scooter ride from Hamilton & 20 minutes bus/scooter ride, in the other direction, from the historic town of St George's. There is the lovely John's Smith Beach within 10 minutes walking distance or 2 minutes by scooter. Spittal Pond is also a short walk away. This migratory wild bird sanctuary offers spectacular coastal walking trails and off-trail hiking. The highly recommended Aquarium, Museum and Zoo at picturesque Flatt's Village is only 5 minutes by scooter. You are also on a major bus route should you choose not to rent scooters or travel by taxi. A grocery store is 10 minutes walk or 3 minutes by scooter. Tennis and golf can be arranged at an additional rate.

In each apartment there is a kitchen with coffee-maker, microwave, toaster & large refrigerator: Apt. 1 has a 4-burner stove with oven: Apt. 2 has 2 burners with a small convection oven. The bathrooms in both Unit #1 & Unit 2 have showers. Each unit has a large closet, a telephone with answering machine, Cable TV & DVD player, iron/board, hairdryer, central airconditioning/heat & BBQ available upon request. Free access to a washing machine and dryer is included. While outside, there is a lovely secluded garden with teak chairs & tables for eating, sun loungers by the pool with awnings and umbrellas. Linens, bath towels and beach towels are provided. Wireless Internet access included.
Bookings can be made for each apartment individually or both together - see "Rates". "Ocean Sound 1" has a queen bed in a newly tiled bedroom/sitting room and a generous full bathroom with shower. "Ocean Sound 2" has a king bed in a bright and spacious tiled bedroom/sitting room. The bathroom has a shower.
Numbers of guests
"Ocean Sound 1" can accommodate 2 guests. Folding beds are available for Ocean Sound 2 for 2 extra children (4 persons in total) at a cost of $40 per child a night. Accommodation of additional guests above two per unit will be at the discretion of the owner and an additional per person/child charge of $40 will usually apply. Please enquire.

- 3 night minimum stay is required.
- To secure a reservation we require a 2 night deposit by M/C or Visa with expiry date and security code number.
- Deposits will not be refunded for cancellations made within 30 days of the beginning of the reserved period. $100 will be deducted from refunded deposits to cover credit card and administrative expenses. Travel insurance should be taken out to cover unforeseen circumstances.
- Deposits can be paid by providing a credit card number (MasterCard or Visa) and expiry date. A certified cheque is acceptable but add $10 for banking charges. For secure payment, the owners can be reached at the telephone and fax numbers given below.
- The balance of the rental owing must be paid on arrival + the 4.5% Govt. tax (which will have been previously calculated by the owners and will be submitted by them to the Bda. Govt.) in US$ or Bda$ cash. If it is a large amount a certified cheque is acceptable + $20 for bank charges. Add 4% for credit card payments
- In the event of early departure 100% of the daily rate is payable for each day booked. Only if we re-let the accommodation, will any charges be refunded.
- NO SMOKING please inside the apartments.
- Cleaning is provided once per week and at guest change-overs.
- Units 1 and 2 will accommodate up to 2 and 4 persons respectively . Where extra persons can be accommodated the cost will be $40 per person
Rate range: $150 - 200 / night for 2 guests*
May to October: $200 / night for 2 guests* per unit
November to April : $150 / night for 2 guests* per unit
*Additional guests: $40 each
Note: There is now a 4.5% Bermuda Government tax which is not included in the rates quoted above.

Directions: Travelling from the airport take the left at the Swizzle Inn onto Wilkinson Avenue and continue along Harrington Sound Road to Devil's Hole. Take the left fork up Knapton Hill. Proceed only part way up the hill and take the second turning on the left, which is Ocean Crescent. You will see the "Ocean Sound" sign at this turning. The second house you come to on the left - a white house with black trim - is Ocean Sound.
