There are not any good options for transportation to Taylor House from the Airport, other than taxi. The fare is about  $20 for 2 persons.

Taylor House guest apartment entrance is located on Aunt Peggy's Lane in St. George's Town. However, the official address of the house is 3 Queen, St. George's GE05. It is recommended that you ask the taxi driver to take you to the "The Perfumery" on Queen Street in St. George's.  So after entering St. George's Town  from the direction of the Airport or Hamilton you will take the left turn onto Queen Street, just before Robertson's Pharmacy (dark blue building on your right). Taylor House is #3, the first house on your left just before the Perfumery. It is light pink with brick steps and a large white chimney. Get the taxi to let you out just before the Perfumery. There you will see a large "No Entry" sign at the entrance to a bricked alleyway which runs between Taylor House and the Perfumery. Walk to the end of the alley and turn left at the concrete planter with a small palm tree in it. You are at the entrance to the guest apartment and will find the key in the letterbox to the left of the front door (with the circular black iron knocker).

There is a phone in the apartment (441) 2978440. Local calls are free. My telephone number is (441) 2970898 or (441) 703 4322. Email [email protected] I live about 5 minutes away.

For  WIFI, The connection name is  Taylor House Guest. Password is [email protected] .

      2. We just returned home from a blissful trip to Bermuda and a wonderful 10 night stay at Taylor House. We had a wonderful time and felt right at home in this 1600’s cottage with a walled garden. Mark Rowe, the owner, was delightful and helpful during our stay. We booked 1 year in advance to be sure we got the dates we wanted and I looked at the photos and dreamed of our visit. I was not disappointed! The accommodations were just as photographed. Clean, neat, and inviting. We slept like babies! Rose early, walked the Railway Trail, walked to the beach, and walked to town. We felt like members of the community we lived in and made friends with the neighbors. Definitely we will return one day. We walked to the bus, ferry, restaurants and shops, and the beaches, forts, and other historic attractions. We dined out each night at Wahoo’s, The Wharf and the local cafes and the food market and laundry were a 2 block walk. A short walk to church too! Taylor House is a real gem!

      3. Amazing location for a quiet vacation! You can walk to Two beaches and a few restaurants, however everything around closes by approximately 9:30PM. Mark ( the owner) provided us with Bus passes, which helped ride to the town of Hamilton where there is more night-life and restaurant options. The house was very old but had everything you need.

      4. My mother and I stayed at this property for 6 nights. We felt very safe during our visit. The free bus passes are a great value add to this rental. The bus stop is literally a one to two minute walk from home. Walking distance to multiple beaches, resteraunts and grocery store made this a great spot to call home for the week. Kitchen was fully functioning with apartment fridge and stove for making meals in. Mark showed us around the home and was very accommodating with our departure and airport drop off. I will definitely be staying in Taylor House when I return to Bermuda. Thanks for sharing your home with us Mark!!!

      5. My husband and I just returned today from a great 2-week stay at Taylor House. There is so much to do and we didn’t have time for it all. Thanks to Mark for including the Bus/Ferry passes with the house. We had fun going to the Peppercorn Ceremony(April 22nd) in King’s Square and made many friends. Hubby got to participate in the dunking reenactment. Enjoyed having Carly(black cat) come to visit whenever we had the dutch door top to the garden open. House had exactly what we needed. It was nice to have the 2nd bed as we are both restless sleepers at times. Swizzle Inn was a short bus ride away on the #10 or 11 bus. Loved the Pickled Onion and Lobster Pot for dinners. Both are in downtown Hamilton. Hubby went golfing 4 times during our stay and I went shopping. Safe for females to travel by themselves. Mark was around when we needed him but did not bother us at all. We look forward to returning to Taylor House in the future!! Will miss being there!!!

      6. Taylor House is indeed a “charming townhouse,” as advertised. Although this was our first visit to Bermuda, we nailed it with our choice of St. George’s and Taylor House. The house itself was clean & quaint with nice kitchen and large master bedroom. We loved the eccentricities of this historic, well-kept house, ie, high rise / different height steps, but something to be aware of for anyone having difficulty navigating stairs. Location of the house was also a plus, in a quiet neighborhood yet steps away from the downtown of St. George’s, the bus stop and ferry. Host Mark Rowe provided public transportation passes, which we used to explore the entire island. Mark is a great host, very responsive to and thoughtful of his guests. There is no reason not to give Taylor House a five-star rating.

      7. We stayed for almost a week at Taylor House. The location is ideal to walk to restaurants and local beaches. Also ideal to catch the bus to ANYWHERE on the island. It was nice to meet Mark on day one to review any questions. I easily reached him on check out day to finalize the details of leaving the house. The multiple sets of steps in this house are a bit steep which makes sense for this historical home. If we had bad knees or needed a one level arrangement, then we probably wouldn’t have chosen this house. The garden is very pretty and perfect for relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine. We enjoyed hearing the church bells, scooters and even some pedestrians during the day, but the evening hours were very peaceful. Thanks Mark, for a great visit to your beautiful island!
